D.C. suspension:
"Interim Suspensions Issued by the District of Columbia Court of Appeals"
"In re: Robert J. Abalos. Bar No. 394349. June 25, 2010. Abalos was suspended on an interim basis based upon discipline imposed in Virginia."
Still, Abalos calls himself "Esq" in flagrant disregard for the law.

Correction -- Massachusetts did not just suspend Abalos, they disbarred him: "On July 21, 2010, the Court (Spina, J.) entered an order disbarring the respondent and striking his name from the Roll of Attorneys."
For those who cannot find the DC Bar declaration on its web page, here it is repeated in full:
"In re Robert J. Abalos. Bar No. 394349. June 25, 2010. Abalos was suspended on an interim basis based upon discipline imposed in Virginia."
So, not quite a full disbarment in Virginia yet. Give it some time.
Thank you! I've edited the post regarding disbarment in MA.
Yet John T Reed continues to endorse this crook, despite the undisputed facts about how he treats his customers.
Everyone should feel free to share these new developments with Mr. Reed since he is so intent on discussing the facts about the gurus on his website.

I just read his blog and my head is spinning. He wishes the best for Russ Whitney, the biggest real estate crook of all time, but wants us all to be prosecuted?
That ringing sound you hear Robert is the alarm clock. Wake up!!
Abalos discusses Seattle like he's living in a real shithole.
Perfect.
It is a sad day - Abalos has finally taken back first place from this site in a Google search of his name. My guess is this is because he posts another piece of "egotistical drivel" nearly every day, and one of the things Google uses when ranking a page is how frequently it is updated.
Never fear -- this blog will always be right next to his site in the search engine results. Newbies will still see our fan page at the same time they see his site in the results.
My Google searches show this blog back on top already.
Well, now we know that all the money Abalos failed to refund us has gone toward his purchase of a digital video camera. Nice of him to show us where he sleeps at night, the Waterfall Gardens of Pioneer Square.
And his massachusetts disbarment is number 5.
You guys might want to know that your man is now contributing to a Seattle real estate investing forum on Redfin.com. His comments are pretty generic, standard fare (no examples of real deals he's done yet), yet he claims 28 years as a real estate investor in his bio there. I was immediately suspicious so I googled his name and - bingo - found you guys. Thanks for the heads up!
He probably read somewhere that posting on chat boards brings you up in Google searches. But not as much as posting on blogs, as we do here.
Abalos needs the online presence to feed his grandiose ego --- he has nothing else left.
Hilarious -- today he posts to his blog about what idiots the people at Redfin.com are because he got into an argument with a poor Redfin.com employee on the phone. Yes, I am sure it was the employee and not Abalos who was being unreasonable on the phone........
Note how he calls people "retards" with no regard to people's feelings who may have handicapped children.
Now he claims to have saved a homeowner 350,000 dollars by telling them to buye a cheaper home. How exactly did he save them anything?
By the way assuming this email is true in fits squarely into his own criticism of gurus - outrageous testimonials.
Well, it's obvious that despite his criticisms of others for doing it, Abalos will take every opportunity to use a testimonial, no matter how slightly it praises him. This proves our theory that Abalos has NOT sold his book in 91 or even 5 countries; if he did, there would be more testimonials.
Home buying advice from a man who's never owned a home.
Great.
If anyone is interested in doing the real estate research to verify his claim, relevant phone numbers and home addresses are available via a basic Google search on name, city, and state.
Personally, I think he made them up just like he did with Karen Beam, Tom Porchello, Joseph Wagman, Tom Boyle, Martin Holmes, Blaine Brumbaugh, Pete (AR), John Curtis, Thomas Wright, John Negronitz, Keith Campbell, Thomas Murphy, and Sidney Cornfeld.
Great advice, Robert Abalos - tell people to walk away from their homes. We'd expect nothing less from someone who doesn't EVER live up to his promises.
Let's not forget the deficiency judgment from the lender and your credit being ruined. Minor details he omitted.
But, Abalos, the lawyer at heart that he still is, would have a simple solution... file bankruptcy.
"I want to thank her for not just writing to me, but for also having the courage to tell a petty con artist thief with all the persuasion skills in the world NO THANK YOU."
In other words, she told Robert Abalos "NO THANK YOU".
